在马塍路2号武林花园小区，一个悲剧的场面吸引了众多围观者。小徐小姐 tearfully mourned the loss of her beloved pet rabbit "Peter," which had been mercilessly killed by two students wearing blue and white school uniforms. The incident occurred on February 23rd, 2016, at around 6 pm. A passerby named 应先生 stumbled upon the scene and was shocked to see a dead rabbit with an arrow lodged in its body.

The owner of the rabbit, Mr. Xu, revealed that his daughter had discovered the tragedy upon returning home from school. He comforted his daughter and buried the deceased animal later that night.

Investigation revealed that the arrows used were equipped with metal tips. Neighbors described the area as having a close-knit community with only seven residential buildings and approximately four hundred residents. However, both perpetrators were reportedly unfamiliar faces in the community.

Security footage showed two students, one measuring around 1 meter 60 centimeters tall and another slightly taller at around 1 meter 70 centimeters, committing the heinous act. The first student wielded a bow measuring about five to six decimeters long while carrying a box of arrows on their back; meanwhile, their accomplice held what appeared to be a toy rifle.

A nearby mechanic named Chen expressed outrage over this senseless violence towards animals: "Rabbits are agile creatures; it's impossible for an arrow to penetrate them so easily unless done intentionally." He questioned whether such cruel behavior exhibited by children could escalate into more severe actions when they matured further down life's path.
